Hersh Sisodia's Technology Showcase

Welcome to my technology showcase page! This page represents various ways I used and implemented technology during my MAET program. The show case highlights various use of technologies. Below you will see specific examples of technology use in my work environment and course content concept that were presented in various classes of my MAET program. The show case is divided into two categories: International Students and International Educators.

For International Students

Stand Alone Instructional Resource

For CEP 811, the StAIR project was designed for international students as a resource they can use to help them better understand the fundamentals of Optional Practical Training (OPT). OPT is employment authorization that allows international students to apply for in their last semester of studies.

Online Course Designing OPT

In CEP 820, I designed an online course for employment authorization called Optional Practical Training (OPT). These students would be required to complete online course before meeting with complete paperwork to an international student advisor. I chose to design my course using Weebly and incorporated a feedback mechanism.

Big Kahuna -Top 4 Immigration Topics

For CEP 817, I created a website that teaches MSU international students about the process of applying for employment authorization after completion of their studies.

Compelling Experince

In CEP 882, we learned a lot about the nature and design of compelling experience. Using the elements I learned in the course, I created a 30 second compelling video about travel/studying abroad.

For International Educators

Office in the Digital Age

I presented this topic with two other colleagues at state and regional conferences to international educators. I think it an appropriate use of technology in a learning environment and appropriate to share the PowerPoint on this website. Click the image to access the file.

Research Project Design

For CEP 822, I researched and reviewed findings showing the annual economic impact of international students in the U.S. My research focused on these findings and proposed a study on determining economic impact by MSU students on local economy.

Instrumental vs. Missional Thinking

In CEP 815, my presentation focused on the two types of thinking: instrumental vs. missional. It presents clear concepts of what comprises of the two types of thinking. This presentation helps in identifying what type of thinking the school or you are doing for your educational plan.

Wicked Project Project - Webinar

For CEP 812, I created this project based on TPACK principles. The problem that I concentrated in this project was to incorporate webinars instead of traditional lecture style immigration and employment presentations. This would not only increase the number of attendees, but also use technology that is familiar to students, help them maintain their anonymity, overcome challenges of physical space and weather.
